MC & Comedy –
Rich Jay has been a professional MC & Comedian for over 10 years, beginning in high school as MC of his own graduation. After attending to acting school in London, Rich began performing professionally working with global brands like: Nike, Samsung, Volkswagen, Cadbury Chocolate, Lufthansa, Mountain Dew, & Guinness World Records (as an adjudicator) to name a few.
Rich’s MC work has been enjoyed both live and on-screen. He was hired as the MC/Host of a travelling pop-up restaurant [tagline: this is not a pop-up restaurant, this is a dining experience] called Pret A Diner (pretadiner.com). They popped up in London, Berlin, Munich, Ibiza, Monaco, Zurich and Moscow for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The event was sponsored by luxury brands like: Jaguar, Land Rover, Veuve Clicquot, Swarovski, Hugo Boss, AMEX, and attracted billionaires, royalty and celebrities including Madonna, Johnny Depp and The Royal Prince of Brunei to name a few.
Rich relocated to Berlin after being head-hunted to host the English-spoken radio show on FluxFm [tagline: The alternative in Radio]. Rich’s was the only show in English and he interviewed international artists like Noel Gallagher, Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Kasabian, The Struts and more.
Rich left Berlin to travel for 2 years, and returned to Australia where he worked at Movie World hosting the Hollywood Stunt Driver show (formerly Police Academy Stunt Show) and acted in the Wild West Show.
Rich was the go-to MC for events like Fright Nights, Carnivale and White Christmas. In and amongst all of this, Rich also worked onstage at festivals, on cruise ships, performed stand up comedy, trivia nights and MC’d weddings.
Rich has been involved with four shows at the Adelaide Fringe Festival: Being Rich but Dying Trying (his own one-hour comedy show) Around The World with Mozart the Banana Man, Skoolyard Sh3nanigans, & The Immature Amateurs Improv Troupe.
Rich has been described as ‘the consummate professional’ and has a deep passion for his craft that shines through as soon as you put a microphone in his hand!
